How To Curl Your Hair And Hold It For Long Time Then Get It Back Straight Whenever You Want.

Went back to K.L from Melaka end of last month before I travel to Penang-Kulim to my internship. I was very lucky to get invited to Zouk by Elwyn for the Astro Spin Master 2 Press Conference. Since I was free, I decided to doll up myself a bit ^ ^

Photobucket
I curled my hair at 7pm and the curls are still curvy at 2am. 7 hours is a loooooong time!

I have a small tip on how to have long lasting curls without any hair product:
1. Wash your hair
2. Use a tower to absorb some moist from the hair but do not dry it.
3. Separate hairs into sections
4. Put ur hairs into the heated bar according to your preference.
5. Let your hair stay in the bar for longer time.
6. Wait until your hair is 95% dry, then remove your hair from the bar slowly(Do not wait till your hair 100% dry, else it might burn ur hair)
7. If your hair is not dry enough when you remove your hair, repeat step 4-6.
8. No hair spray is needed, but you can style your hair using hair pins or other accessories.

If you already have natural straight hair but wants back your straight hair after curl or you have natural curl hair but wanted to have straighter hair, I would suggest you to use this product:
Photobucket
Herbal Essences dangerously straight shampoo and conditioner.
(note: Watson has HE promotion some times. It's far cheaper than RM16.90 in most super-mart ^ ^)

Photobucket
The is how my hair looks like after a wash from the curled hair shown in 1st photo.
You may claim that I have a natural straight hair so whatever shampoo and conditioner I use, I will still get back a straight hair since I didn't do a permanent curl.

However, it's not totally true. I may have a straight hair but not at the end. This product has proven to straighten hair even at the split ends, just like my photo above. Another friend of mine that are using it which has natural curly hair claim that his hair become straighter.

Note: This is not an advertorial and I am sharing my knowledge base on my experience. Comment and critics are always welcome ^ ^

Ysquare Photoblog 13: What is this myterious bicycle like symbol?

mysterious bicycle like symbol in Penang
I found this symbol for the first time when I was prepared to start my intern 3 weeks back when I over night in Penang.
Name me jakun or what, but I really have no idea what this symbol is.
Is this the bicycle lane? Can't the car use this lane? But it's only 1 lane?! If car can use the lane, why does it paint this symbol on the road? Does it mean car have to drive as slow as a bicycle?

Enlighten me please?

My Penang Diary 1: The best food in Penang is not in Gurney Drive, try in Jalan Macalister instead.

If you are Malaysian (like me), the first thing run into your mind when I mention Penang, is not historical building, not World Heritage, nor tourism.

It's FOOOOOOD~

Most tourism will go straight to Gurney drive (Persiaran Gurney), so call the "Food Paradise". In most tourist perception, if you don't come to Gurney drive, means you never come to Penang. Well, frankly, I only went to dine in Gurney once and I don't like it.

Put away the traffic jam, limited parking space and crowded open space (which you earn you a fever if it rain -___-), what I hate most if their food is not nice *>.<* Although it has a huge variety of choices, Gurney is not visited by the local because it is expensive, small in portion and not up to local Penang standard.

I am Lucky enough to have my dad guide me on my last 3 visit to Penang. He is not a local Penang, but he has work in Penang for quite some time few years back. He claim that no local people visit Gurney for food. Most of the local like to go into town instead!

On my last visit to Penang (stay for a night before I continue my journey in Kulim), my dad and I had a simple dinner in Jalan Macalister

*note: Some part of Jalan Macalister is one way. I suggest you to enter by Jalan Perak*

虾面/福建面Prawn noodle (Penang-Hokkien mee, K.L Prawn noodle)
Penangite call: Hokkian Mee (福建面)
K.Lite call: Prawn noodle (虾面)
See how RM2.90 is full with a bowl of fresh Prawn, fish call, meat slice, sambal and most important - the soup itself.

You can't never get this portion in Gurney, not to mention the prawns(Gurney use shrimp instead) are not fresh and the soup is so diluted *>.<*

卤鸭(braise duck)
Braise duck (卤鸭)
Just look at the picture. I don't think I need much explanation to convince you for this.
When you taste the gravy- Ah... you will be in heaven.
See how the duck skin glitters? Forget about your diet and eat like there's no tomorrow!

炒果条(炒河分)Cha Kuey Tiao
Cha Kuey Tiao (炒果条)
North side Cha Kuey Tiao is slightly different from the South. KL and Melaka has very dark Cha Kuey Tiao appearance due to the dark soy sauce. However, less in color doesn't mean less in taste too! The South Cha Kuey Tia is very heat-ty (热气). You may get sore throat the next day and in some case nose blood (I guess it only happens to me T.T). North Cha Kuey Tia is less heat-ty but no reduction in the taste.

P/S: This is mere my dad and my experience. No offence to any side.
However, if you have any suggestion on nice place to eat and tour or would like to find out more, do drop a message to let me know and I will tour it for you! Be fast, I will only stay for 3 months ;)

I was told that Reeve comes from Melaka and purposely come down to Zouk that night for the conference and scratch some disk later in the main room.
Been in Melaka for 3 years, why I never see Reeve in performing in Melaka before?
Guess I wasn't a night kaki afterall XD

Of all night, the thing I remember most was:
"I hope more girls are joining this competition and beats up the guys are crown herself as The Spin Master this year"
Said by Cheng-Vei, the Astro Hitz Channel Manager
Cheong Cheng Vei
She is gorgeously hot with sweet aura all around her.
Only if I can be half as good as her *>.<*

Oh yeah, did I mention about the prize of the competition?
Last year, Reeve was sent to Aussie and this year, the grand prize winner will wins an all expense paid trip to London to spin a personal slot at the prestigious
“Gallery” at the Ministry of Sound London.
Gavyn Mytchel
Gavyn Mytchel, the resident DJ at the ʻGalleryʼwill be supporting the show.

Frankly, I always thinks that I know the rhythm although I can't sing or dance very well.
I was the cheerleader and learned some musical aerobic and gymnastic when I was as young as 13 years old. However, my talent does goes far with my nerd brain that choose Engineering as my career. If I got a chance, I will definately take up a DJ course and rock the night. But before I do that, you talented guys out there, The Astro Hitz Spin Master 2 auditions will take place at the Official Venue, Zouk Club, Kuala Lumpur on 15 and 16 May. After the auditions, clips of the contestants spinning will be placed on Youtube for viewers to vote. The top sixteen (16) finalists (8 chosen by the judges, and 8 more via online votes) will then go into the next round for more voting action and battles.

As for those professional listeners, and fun-loving dancers who love swanky
beats, it is your duty to vote for your favourites.

Pre-register online is available at www.facebook.com/astrohitz

I see 166 people confirm their attendance so far. I guess it will be a tough competition.

Hey, not bad! Didn't expect a club can serve such yummy-licous food too!

Since we got our self the free-entrance to the club due to the event, we continue our night will some comedy session next door, organized by Time Out KL.
I know those invited speakers are very funny, just that I don't understand (Virgin obsession)

When party time started, Carmen the party girl bring us to the main room and treat us with some shoots.
Sex at the beach (shot)
Sex on the Beach (Woohoo~nice name)

Photobucket
Since I am not an alcoholic and still need to drive afterward, I just took 1 shoot. Really like the fruity flavour of the drink. If I was not told, I wouldn't know its a cocktail drink.

Photobucket
Had another round of photo session with the party kaki and dance till our lungs out!

Ysquare's Diary - If I have a chance (Poem)

If I have a chance, I would like to know what kind of person are you.
You are pretty, clever, good networking, rich, able to earn and everybody likes you.

If I have a chance, I would like to know how did you gain those things that I don't have?
You must be a really sweet person that everybody is willing to help you and guide you.

If I have a chance, I would like to know why so many guys are die-ing for you and yet you have still single.
You must be very good that you think non of them suits you.

If I have a chance, I would like to know why you want to flirt with a guy and don't couple with him.
You must be a good player and can fake your emotion very well.

If I have a chance, I would like to know how is the feeling to damage other couple relationship?
You must be a good actor that you can pretend to be all pity and helpless while guys trusted you.

If I have a chance, I would ask your dad, did he every sleep with you?
You are such a bith that I don't even know what you are thinking about.

If I have a chance, I am glade that I don't know you.
You are not the kind of person I would like to meet.

Ysquare Photoblog 11: 1st Day of intern Get Company Laptop Already + I Have Found Out Whats The Mysterious Sign!

Slightly late blog post update today because it was my first day intern.

Sorry that I was not available to update my blog accordingly because after I finish my final, I spend most of my time travel around (note: not on vacation).

I travel from Melaka(where I study) to K.L (my home town) then to Penang( place to overnight) and finally Kulim (where I blogging now + my intern place).

1st day in the company was cool. Quite fun, not like what I did when I had my 1st day in Public Bank, which I have nothing to do. I was already introduce to the company, the system, the places(plant), ppl and future assignment.
Of all the things, the least expected was that I assigned a laptop on the 1st day of intern!

Lenovo ThinkPad T400 and Dell Latitude E5400
Don't you scared I run away with you Lenovo ThinkPad T400? LOL

Lenovo ThinkPad T400 and Dell Latitude E5400
Now, the Lenovo ThinkPad T400 is my left open with ppt about work, Dell Latitude E5400(Lappy) on my right with my social network and report book on my lap.
LOL, isn't it laptop should stay on the lap and book on the table?

Since I name my personal laptop as Lappy already, should I call my company laptop Lappo?
XD

Anyway, will update my work experience in my company if it doesn't violate it's P&C statement.

At the mean time, remember the mysterious sign that I show in my previous post? I even use Google goggle to search it -___-

Photobucket

Silly me, it is actually the symbol of KOLONY, an sms-based social network that connects you to your friends!

By a few simple keywords, such as DING, BOMM, FREN, POPP etc to know new friend, stay connect with them or even comment their status. All you need is just a basic phone with sms compatible. No Iphong, robotic toy, berries or any "clever" phone is need here.

I know what are thinking, you think make friend by sms will cost you a bomb, right?

Exactly wrong!

KOLONY is totally free. All you need is just collect KOINZ by making calls (which is basically what your phone do for you everyday, duh~). Now you are talking, we user are at last benefit from our spend.

Xpax rate
(click on the photo to know more about the rate)

What are you waiting for?

Nadeje-The origin of Mille Crepe (Review)

Photobucket
Most local Malaccan are familiar with this name, but how would you know it is the cream of the cake (pun intended) in Melaka?
Photobucket

Located in 2 shops in the same area:

(main/HQ)
G23 & 25, Jalan PM4,
Plaza Mahkota,
75000, Melaka
Tel: 06-2838750

Cafe
Lot No. UB051, 052 & 053
Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall,
Jalan Merdeka,75000,
Bandar Hilir Melaka
Tel: 06-2843469

For a more precise location, it is printed on their stamp coupon:
Photobucket

Rumors say that the shop near Plaza Mahkota is the main where the bakery is located.
Hence crepe in the shop is more fresh than crepe in the cafe in Dataran Pahlawan.
How true is that?
Only they know.

Since I trust the rumor, I went to the shop at Plaza Mahkota.
Photobucket
The decoration wasn't too bad.
Photobucket
So are the atmosphere.
Photobucket
Since it is not a traditional bakery, their modern interior happen to have a little class.

Now, the star of the post

*drum roll*

The legendary Mille Crepe, original flavour
Photobucket
Rm8.50 per slice (even more expensive than Secret Recipe Photobucket)
Photobucket
Ok, finish looking at the picture?
The next thing you need to do is to grab some tissue and wipe off the saliva on your keyboard/space in front of your monitor.

Photobucket
LOL
*thick skin*
I know I have not sufficient skills to make you drool yet >.<

Anyway, I feel very hard to do this post because I never had a crepe in my life before!
Yeah, it creamy, its soft. Other than that, I really don't know how to criticize it already XP
Maybe I should try more different flavor the next time I visit.
But most people around me really recommend it, that's why I come to try.

Frankly, its a bit sweet but not over. The whipped cream should be serve cold, else it would be too greasy to accept. Glad that Nadeje serve that right. The soft creamy texture of the cream is layered in the crepe which is so thin and torn-able, creates a new taste experience to me.

Other than Mille Crepe, Nadeje does serve other main dish and beverage as well
Photobucket
Apple juice Rm3.50

Photobucket
Cassis Dream Rm3.80 (Ribena + 7up *may its Sprite, I don't know Xp*)

Mini Harumaki plate
RM4.80
Photobucket
Front: Cheese stick spring roll.
Photobucket
Back: Cheese stick spring roll also

XD

Photobucket
Gotcha~

OK, serious now.
The larger sticks are fill with cheese.
Not really impressive though the waitress told us its new on the menu and its chef recommendation.Totally felt cheated.
Photobucket
The smaller sticks are fill with either sambal floss or pumpkin floss.
Not very impressive too. Taste more like those cookies serve during Raya/open house.

Photobucket
Lastly, I would like to tell you also that (this is not a sponsored post, ok?) Nadeje has stamp coupon where 10 stamp are eligible to 1 slice of cake. RM 10 per stamp.

Overall: 9.5/10 (Expect them to have raise other food's standard too because Nadeje is not simply a bakery but a cafe as well)
Taste bud indulgence: 10/10 (Most famous Mille Crepe in Melaka, and probably in Malaysia)
Purse saver: 8/10 (Maybe Malaysia don't have much Mille Crepe bakery yet, thats why it's very expensive)
Atmosphere: 8/10 (Modern deco with a bit class ( note: a bit only))

Masjid Kampung Hulu - Eldest Mosque in Malaysia.

Photobucket
It's is the eldest mosque (masjid) that is still functioning in Malaysia that has not move away from it's original base.

What is so special of this mosque is that it was build during domination period by the Dutch.
Most mosque is base on Arabic structures but Masjid Kampung Hulu has mostly Chinese and Jawa style architecture.

It is one of the must visit Melaka tourism places.
