Like I mention in my teaser post, thanks to Ivy and Tenshi no Cafe for inviting me for a Selangorlicious Foodster Trip last Tuesday(8th Nov 2011) in their shop in e@curve.

P/s: Tenshi in Japanese means angel, hence the logo.

My Nuffnang Story

Hey, how ya doing? ^__^ I can't stop a grin on my face when every time I talk about Nuffnang.
I don't exactly remember when did I joined Nuffnang, but it is definitely a long way during these 2-3 years time. I first found out Nuffnang on some famous blogger's blog advertisement section. I was already blogging that time but I was "humble" enough to think that I am not eligible to join since I have so little visitors and I was only blogging about private stuff. So I share it to my closer friends that have higher visit, maybe they can earn some pennies from there.Later, the friend pulls me in to Nuffnang too, explaining the benefit to me. My 1st event/competition/ticket I won from Nuffnang was a pair of Urbanscape passes, and later more to come.


I didn't expect Nuffnang is not only a advertising company but also a community that gathers bloggers for fun activities such movie screening, outing, event, launching food sharing etc etc....Well, I can't deny that most bloggers that join Nuffnang for the penny (caching on the end of every month yo!). I don't judge yourguys on that but Nuffnang is so much more than just money. It's a community that bring you friends, opportunity, knowledge, fun, excitement, prices and food~~~~


No point to just keep lecturing or preaching, let me show (more like show off) you how my Nuffnang journey was so far.

Recently, before my semester starts, I attending some food related event (LOL Imma food blogger, food always comes 1st, unless I finally decided to diet which fails 193484 times already). One of my favorite would be the Digi Buka Puasa event by Digi and Nuffnang at The Bee, Jaya One.

Not only we are served with yummylicious foods and treats(say YAY to desserts!)

I would really wanna say my favourite is my crappy blog but the fact: it's not. I am still very poor in maintaining a blog T_T

Since tomorrow is the blog day cum Hari Raya cum Merdeka day(post Holiday XP), I would like to share some of my favorite blog for you to read in this holiday.

I love my job and I love social medias too, may it be Facebook, Twitter, Blogging etc.
I can't let go on either 1.

Astro Hitz Spin Master 2 Press Conference At Zouk Club K.L

With a blast last year, Astro Spin Master 2 is returning, bigger than ever!
(duh... of course, just 2nd season nia)

The press conference kick- start with some video of last year competition and how our last year champion, Reeve rocking “The Family”ʼ (name of the club) in Brisbane, Australia.

I was told that Reeve comes from Melaka and purposely come down to Zouk that night for the conference and scratch some disk later in the main room.
Been in Melaka for 3 years, why I never see Reeve in performing in Melaka before?
Guess I wasn't a night kaki afterall XD

Of all night, the thing I remember most was:
"I hope more girls are joining this competition and beats up the guys are crown herself as The Spin Master this year"
Said by Cheng-Vei, the Astro Hitz Channel Manager

She is gorgeously hot with sweet aura all around her.
Only if I can be half as good as her *>.<*

Oh yeah, did I mention about the prize of the competition?
Last year, Reeve was sent to Aussie and this year, the grand prize winner will wins an all expense paid trip to London to spin a personal slot at the prestigious
“Gallery” at the Ministry of Sound London.

Gavyn Mytchel, the resident DJ at the ʻGalleryʼwill be supporting the show.

Frankly, I always thinks that I know the rhythm although I can't sing or dance very well.
I was the cheerleader and learned some musical aerobic and gymnastic when I was as young as 13 years old. However, my talent does goes far with my nerd brain that choose Engineering as my career. If I got a chance, I will definately take up a DJ course and rock the night. But before I do that, you talented guys out there, The Astro Hitz Spin Master 2 auditions will take place at the Official Venue, Zouk Club, Kuala Lumpur on 15 and 16 May. After the auditions, clips of the contestants spinning will be placed on Youtube for viewers to vote. The top sixteen (16) finalists (8 chosen by the judges, and 8 more via online votes) will then go into the next round for more voting action and battles.

As for those professional listeners, and fun-loving dancers who love swanky
beats, it is your duty to vote for your favourites.

I see 166 people confirm their attendance so far. I guess it will be a tough competition.


The conference finish off with a photo session among judges, managers, DJ and host.

After that, we can finally sat down and enjoy our light meal( or I would so call my dinner coz I missed my dinner time by curling my hair XD) that served by Zouk.

Since we got our self the free-entrance to the club due to the event, we continue our night will some comedy session next door, organized by Time Out KL.
I know those invited speakers are very funny, just that I don't understand (Virgin obsession)

Since I am not an alcoholic and still need to drive afterward, I just took 1 shoot. Really like the fruity flavour of the drink. If I was not told, I wouldn't know its a cocktail drink.

the cafe is eye-catching by their overwhelm frames every where


and any where as you could see -__-

This happens because Frames Cafe is the Intermediaries for photo buyers and selling with only printing and frames fees charged if both the item was not provided by the seller.

Now, get on to what I expert the most!

-It's not beer-
Frosty Lemon tea RM8.90
Not sure it is refillable or not. It's very rare I drink such a smooth blended. I rally can't identify what it is by its colour. Definitely a new thing for me.


Appetizer


Consist of Beef and vege rolls
I don't eat beef so yeah... can't comment


Ham 'n' Cheese
I just know it is a layer of bread wrapping some ham and cheese inside. Some olive oil and herbs were spread on it before it was cut and serve.
Not really a surprised combination (to be honest, the combination is not a successful one). The texture and flavors are so-so. Maybe they want to take the flavors only on the main dish?

I believe there is other more appropriate name for it.
Yeah, it's just 1 words "oily"
And maybe another 1 "tasteless"


Mussel
I don't eat mussel that frequent. Although it doesn't smell fishy, but the texture can't lie that it's not fresh. Or over cooked I suppose.


Nutty Chicken
Grill/roast chicken with walnut oil.

Crusted Salmon

(left) Nutty Chicken would be my favorite dish of the night.
The breast was not really tender but the way they prepare it makes it alive. I like how they grill/roast the chicken skin to slightly crispy serve it with the walnut oil as sauce. Another perfect way to saute frozen chicken.

(right) I dont' know why the salmon is so dry. It was not full cook but still very dry inside. This rarely happen on my salmon. Bu the abalone mushroom and Parmesan mash potatoes are pretty good though.

Grilled Ahi Tuna


It looked so pretty on the outside that I have no choice but to post 2 photo instead.
As I said, beautiful from the outside ONLY. Just like a vast. It was the worse seafood combination they could ever made. The pepper on the outer layer was kindda spicy and hard because it comes in big grain. While the worst part is still the fish.It's so hard and dry that I almost feel like I am eating some salted fish except the tuna has no taste at all.
However, the salad is pretty good tough(second time I praise the side dish).


Lamb Concasse
The mutton is very worth trying. I don't take mutton usually, but its so soft, tender and juicy that I will be regret for not trying it. The pumpkin puree (as stated in the menu, thought that it's curry mutton) is a very new and interesting match. Loves it a lot.


Spicy Seafood Cabonara

Pasta
Was brain wash by bloggers around me on how good the pasta was and how must we try it.
Not really impressive, a bit concentrated and sticky. Not really hating it but don't really favors it too much. I think it can be better with more oily and less creamy and sticky.

Mussel
Same mussel in appetizer, with additional cream.

Overall: 7/10 (New idea, need to work on the menu!)
Taste bud indulgence: 6/10 (Some food are good but some are just awful, side dish are even better than main!)
Purse saver: -not applicable, sponsored event-
Atmosphere: 8/10 (A very relax place to chill. Loves the frame idea a lot. )
